7 O Lord my God, in you do I take refuge;
   save me from all my pursuers and deliver me,
2 lest like a lion they tear my soul apart,
   rending it in pieces, with none to deliver.

3 O Lord my God, if I have done this,
   if there is wrong in my hands,
4 if I have repaid my friend[b] with evil
   or plundered my enemy without cause,
5 let the enemy pursue my soul and overtake it,
   and let him trample my life to the ground
   and lay my glory in the dust. Selah

6 Arise, O Lord, in your anger;
   lift yourself up against the fury of my enemies;
   awake for me; you have appointed a judgment.
7 Let the assembly of the peoples be gathered about you;
   over it return on high.

8 The Lord judges the peoples;
   judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness
   and according to the integrity that is in me.
9 Oh, let the evil of the wicked come to an end,
   and may you establish the righteous—
you who test the minds and hearts,[c]
   O righteous God!
10 My shield is with God,
   who saves the upright in heart.
11 God is a righteous judge,
   and a God who feels indignation every day.

12 If a man[d] does not repent, God[e] will whet his sword;
   he has bent and readied his bow;
13 he has prepared for him his deadly weapons,
   making his arrows fiery shafts.
14 Behold, the wicked man conceives evil
   and is pregnant with mischief
   and gives birth to lies.
15 He makes a pit, digging it out,
   and falls into the hole that he has made.
16 His mischief returns upon his own head,
   and on his own skull his violence descends.

17 I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness,
   and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.

7:1 여호와 내 하나님이여 내가 주께 피하오니 나를 쫓아오는 모든 자들에게서 나를 구원하여 내소서

7:2 건져낼 자가 없으면 그들이 사자 같이 나를 찢고 뜯을까 하나이다

7:3 여호와 내 하나님이여 내가 이런 일을 행하였거나 내 손에 죄악이 있거나

7:4 화친한 자를 악으로 갚았거나 내 대적에게서 까닭 없이 빼앗았거든

7:5 원수가 나의 영혼을 쫓아 잡아 내 생명을 땅에 짓밟게 하고 내 영광을 먼지 속에 살게 하소서 (셀라)

7:6 여호와여 진노로 일어나사 내 대적들의 노를 막으시며 나를 위하여 깨소서 주께서 심판을 명령하셨나이다

7:7 민족들의 모임이 주를 두르게 하시고 그 위 높은 자리에 돌아오소서

7:8 여호와께서 만민에게 심판을 행하시오니 여호와여 나의 의와 나의 성실함을 따라 나를 심판하소서

7:9 악인의 악을 끊고 의인을 세우소서 의로우신 하나님이 사람의 마음과 양심을 감찰하시나이다

7:10 나의 방패는 마음이 정직한 자를 구원하시는 하나님께 있도다

7:11 하나님은 의로우신 재판장이심이여 매일 분노하시는 하나님이시로다

7:12 사람이 회개하지 아니하면 그가 그의 칼을 가심이여 그의 활을 이미 당기어 예비하셨도다

7:13 죽일 도구를 또한 예비하심이여 그가 만든 화살은 불화살들이로다

7:14 악인이 죄악을 낳음이며 재앙을 배어 거짓을 낳았도다

7:15 그가 웅덩이를 파 만듦이며 제가 만든 함정에 빠졌도다

7:16 그의 재앙은 자기 머리로 돌아가고 그의 포악은 자기 정수리에 내리리로다

7:17 내가 여호와께 그의 의를 따라 감사함이여 지존하신 여호와의 이름을 찬양하리로다

1 O Lord, rebuke me not in your anger,
   nor discipline me in your wrath.
2 Be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am languishing;
   heal me, O Lord, for my bones are troubled.
3 My soul also is greatly troubled.
   But you, O Lord—how long?

4 Turn, O Lord, deliver my life;
   save me for the sake of your steadfast love.
5 For in death there is no remembrance of you;
   in Sheol who will give you praise?

6 I am weary with my moaning;
   every night I flood my bed with tears;
   I drench my couch with my weeping.
7 My eye wastes away because of grief;
   it grows weak because of all my foes.

8 Depart from me, all you workers of evil,
   for the Lord has heard the sound of my weeping.
9 The Lord has heard my plea;
   the Lord accepts my prayer.
10 All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled;
   they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment.

1 My son, if you receive my words
   and treasure up my commandments with you,
2 making your ear attentive to wisdom
   and inclining your heart to understanding;
3 yes, if you call out for insight
   and raise your voice for understanding,
4 if you seek it like silver
   and search for it as for hidden treasures,
5 then you will understand the fear of the Lord
   and find the knowledge of God.
6 For the Lord gives wisdom;
   from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7 he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
   he is a shield to those who walk in integrity,
8 guarding the paths of justice
   and watching over the way of his saints.
9 Then you will understand righteousness and justice
   and equity, every good path;
10 for wisdom will come into your heart,
   and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul;
11 discretion will watch over you,
   understanding will guard you,
12 delivering you from the way of evil,
   from men of perverted speech,
13 who forsake the paths of uprightness
   to walk in the ways of darkness,
14 who rejoice in doing evil
   and delight in the perverseness of evil,
15 men whose paths are crooked,
   and who are devious in their ways.

16 So you will be delivered from the forbidden[a] woman,
   from the adulteress[b] with her smooth words,
17 who forsakes the companion of her youth
   and forgets the covenant of her God;
18 for her house sinks down to death,
   and her paths to the departed;[c]
19 none who go to her come back,
   nor do they regain the paths of life.

20 So you will walk in the way of the good
   and keep to the paths of the righteous.
21 For the upright will inhabit the land,
   and those with integrity will remain in it,
22 but the wicked will be cut off from the land,
   and the treacherous will be rooted out of it.

2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

5 I cried unto thee, O Lord: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

2 Let my prayer be set forth before thee as incense; and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

3 Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

4 Incline not my heart to any evil thing, to practise wicked works with men that work iniquity: and let me not eat of their dainties.

5 Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness: and let him reprove me; it shall be an excellent oil, which shall not break my head: for yet my prayer also shall be in their calamities.

6 When their judges are overthrown in stony places, they shall hear my words; for they are sweet.

7 Our bones are scattered at the grave's mouth, as when one cutteth and cleaveth wood upon the earth.

8 But mine eyes are unto thee, O God the Lord: in thee is my trust; leave not my soul destitute.

9 Keep me from the snares which they have laid for me, and the gins of the workers of iniquity.

10 Let the wicked fall into their own nets, whilst that I withal escape.

1 He who is often reproved, yet stiffens his neck,
   will suddenly be broken beyond healing.
2 When the righteous increase, the people rejoice,
   but when the wicked rule, the people groan.
3 He who loves wisdom makes his father glad,
   but a companion of prostitutes squanders his wealth.
4 By justice a king builds up the land,
   but he who exacts gifts[a] tears it down.
5 A man who flatters his neighbor
   spreads a net for his feet.
6 An evil man is ensnared in his transgression,
   but a righteous man sings and rejoices.
7 A righteous man knows the rights of the poor;
   a wicked man does not understand such knowledge.
8 Scoffers set a city aflame,
   but the wise turn away wrath.
9 If a wise man has an argument with a fool,
   the fool only rages and laughs, and there is no quiet.
10 Bloodthirsty men hate one who is blameless
   and seek the life of the upright.[b]
11 A fool gives full vent to his spirit,
   but a wise man quietly holds it back.
12 If a ruler listens to falsehood,
   all his officials will be wicked.
13 The poor man and the oppressor meet together;
   the Lord gives light to the eyes of both.
14 If a king faithfully judges the poor,
   his throne will be established forever.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom,
   but a child left to himself brings shame to his mother.
16 When the wicked increase, transgression increases,
   but the righteous will look upon their downfall.
17 Discipline your son, and he will give you rest;
   he will give delight to your heart.
18 Where there is no prophetic vision the people cast off restraint,[c]
   but blessed is he who keeps the law.
19 By mere words a servant is not disciplined,
   for though he understands, he will not respond.
20 Do you see a man who is hasty in his words?
   There is more hope for a fool than for him.
21 Whoever pampers his servant from childhood
   will in the end find him his heir.[d]
22 A man of wrath stirs up strife,
   and one given to anger causes much transgression.
23 One's pride will bring him low,
   but he who is lowly in spirit will obtain honor.
24 The partner of a thief hates his own life;
   he hears the curse, but discloses nothing.
25 The fear of man lays a snare,
   but whoever trusts in the Lord is safe.
26 Many seek the face of a ruler,
   but it is from the Lord that a man gets justice.
27 An unjust man is an abomination to the righteous,
   but one whose way is straight is an abomination to the wicked.

2 How he sware unto the Lord, and vowed unto the mighty God of Jacob;

 - 얼마나 그는 맹세했습니까? 주님에게 그리고 서원했습니까? 강하신 야곱의 하나님에게

3 Surely I will not come into the tabernacle of my house, nor go up into my bed;

 - 당연히 나는 오길 원하지 않습니다. 내 집의 그 장막을 향해 또한 올라가기를 원하지 않습니다. 내 침실을 향해서

4 I will not give sleep to mine eyes, or slumber to mine eyelids,

 - 나는 주길 원하지 않아요. 내 눈들에게 잠을. 또한 내 눈 꺼풀에게 졸음을 주길 원하지 않습니다.

5 Until I find out a place for the Lord, an habitation for the mighty God of Jacob.

- 나는 발견하기까지 한 장소에서 주님을 향한. 

6 Lo, we heard of it at Ephratah: we found it in the fields of the wood.

7 We will go into his tabernacles: we will worship at his footstool.

8 Arise, O Lord, into thy rest; thou, and the ark of thy strength.

9 Let thy priests be clothed with righteousness; and let thy saints shout for joy.

10 For thy servant David's sake turn not away the face of thine anointed.

11 The Lord hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.

12 If thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore.

13 For the Lord hath chosen Zion; he hath desired it for his habitation.

14 This is my rest for ever: here will I dwell; for I have desired it.

15 I will abundantly bless her provision: I will satisfy her poor with bread.

16 I will also clothe her priests with salvation: and her saints shall shout aloud for joy.

17 There will I make the horn of David to bud: I have ordained a lamp for mine anointed.

 - 주님, 나의 마음이 거만한 상태가 아니며, 또한 나의 눈들이 높은 상태가 아닙니다. 또한 나는 스스로 무엇인가를 하지 않습니다. 큰 일들 안에서 또는 많이 높은 것들 안에서 나를 향해서.

2 Surely I have behaved and quieted myself, as a child that is weaned of his mother: my soul is even as a weaned child.

 - 물론 나는 행동하고 있고 스스로 조용하고 있습니다. 딱 한 아이 그 아이는 젖을 떼게 된 그의 어머니에게. 나의 혼은 심지어 딱 젖 뗀 아이와 같습니다.

3 Let Israel hope in the Lord from henceforth and for ever.

 -이스라엘이 소망 하게 하라. 주님 안에서. 여기로부터 영원까지.

27:2 네가 너를 칭찬하지 말고, 남이 너를 칭찬하게 하여라. 칭찬은 남이 하여 주는 것이지, 자기의 입으로 하는 것이 아니다.

27:3 돌도 무겁고 모래도 짐이 되지만, 어리석은 사람이 성가시게 구는 것은, 이 두 가지보다 더 무겁다.

27:4 분노는 잔인하고 진노는 범람하는 물과 같다고 하지만, 사람의 질투를 누가 당하여 낼 수 있으랴 ?

27:5 드러내 놓고 꾸짖는 것이, 숨은 사랑보다 낫다.

27:6 친구의 책망은 아파도 진심에서 나오지만, 원수의 입맞춤은 거짓에서 나온다.

27:7 배부른 사람은 꿀도 지겨워하지만, 배고픈 사람은 쓴 것도 달게 먹는다.

27:8 고향을 잃고 떠도는 사람은, 둥지를 잃고 떠도는 새와 같다.

27:9 향유와 향료가 마음을 즐겁게 하듯이, 친구의 다정한 충고가 그와 같다.

27:10 너의 친구나 너의 아버지의 친구를 저버리지 말아라. 네가 어렵다고 친척의 집을 찾아 다니지 말아라. 가까운 이웃이 먼 친척보다 낫다.

27:11 내 아들아, 지혜를 깨우치고, 나의 마음을 기쁘게 하여라. 그러면 나를 비방하는 사람에게 내가 대답할 수 있겠다.

27:12 슬기로운 사람은 재앙을 보면 숨어 피하지만, 어수룩한 사람은 고집을 부리고 나아가다가 화를 입는다.

27:13 남의 보증을 선 사람은 자기의 옷을 잡혀야 하고, 모르는 사람의 보증을 선 사람은 자기의 몸을 잡혀야 한다.

27:14 이른 아침에 큰소리로 이웃에게 축복의 인사를 하면, 그것을 오히려 저주로 여길 것이다.

27:15 다투기를 좋아하는 여자는, 비 오는 날 지붕에서 끊임없이 비가 새는 것과 같다.

27:16 그런 여자를 다스리려는 것은, 바람을 다스리려는 것과 같고, 손으로 기름을 가득 움켜 잡으려는 것과 같다.

27:17 쇠붙이는 쇠붙이로 쳐야 날이 날카롭게 서듯이, 사람도 이웃과 부딪쳐야 지혜가 예리해진다.

27:18 무화과나무를 가꾸는 사람이 그 열매를 먹듯이, 윗사람의 시중을 드는 사람이 그 영화를 얻는다.

27:19 사람의 얼굴이 물에 비치듯이, 사람의 마음도 사람을 드러내 보인다.

27:20 스올과 멸망의 구덩이가 만족을 모르듯, 사람의 눈도 만족을 모른다.

27:21 도가니는 은을, 화덕은 금을 단련하듯이, 칭찬은 사람됨을 달아 볼 수 있다.

27:22 어리석은 사람은 곡식과 함께 절구에 넣어서 공이로 찧어도, 그 어리석음이 벗겨지지 않는다.

27:23 너의 양 떼의 형편을 잘 알아 두며, 너의 가축 떼에게 정성을 기울여라.

27:24 재물은 영원히 남아 있지 않으며, 왕관도 대대로 물려줄 수 없기 때문이다.

27:25 그러나 풀은 벤 뒤에도 새 풀이 돋아나니, 산에서 꼴을 거둘 수 있다.

27:26 어린 양의 털로는 너의 옷을 지어 입을 수 있고, 숫양으로는 밭을 사들일 수 있으며,

27:27 염소의 젖은 넉넉하여, 너와 너의 집 식구의 먹을 것뿐만 아니라. 너의 여종의 먹을 것까지 있을 것이다.
